Hearing Exam & Evaluation

Hearing loss can affect anyone and often progress so gradually, it can be difficult to notice until you experience symptoms. Hearing loss has far-reaching effects on your health, so receiving a hearing test along with annual follow-up tests can help you catch it early. A thorough hearing test can help define the type of hearing loss you have, determine the best course of action and whether hearing aids or medical treatment is necessary. Our hearing tests are done in a sound proof booth, with up to date equipment and always performed by our Nationally Board Certified licensed hearing healthcare practitioner.

Hearing Instrument Fitting

After the comprehensive hearing exam and thorough case history, if your diagnosis requires treatment with hearing aids, we will consult with you about your options, including individualized specifics on products, technology levels, costs and styles. When you return to pick up your hearing aids, we will custom program and adjust them to your hearing loss and specific lifestyle.

In an effort to avoid those repairs, we believe maintenance is key to longevity and ensuring maximum performance from your investment. With a full service lab and over 30 years of knowledge and expertise, we have the ability to routinely clean, service, or repair hearing aids right here in our office.

Wax Management

Ear wax (cerumen) is an important part of a normal functioning ear but can become compacted or excessive, resulting in difficulty hearing or even ringing in the ears. Sometimes treating hearing loss is as simple as having an earwax impaction removed. Softening ear drops may be necessary to help the ear fulfill its self-cleaning function, and should be considered first-line treatment.
